BASIS International School Bangkok is the 5th international school to open in the BASIS Curriculum School network. BASIS International School is now established as the gold-standard American K – 12 educational community across the United States and around the world.
EEC Lincolne Scott were appointed as the engineering design consultant covering Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Fire Protection, and Civil and Structural engineering for BISB project.
The project total approximated area is 25,000 m² located on Rama 2, Bangkok, Thailand
The project consists of 5 new academic buildings, Administration, Kindergarten, Primary, Connection and Sport building.
The air conditioning system design provide a good indoor air quality with a high efficiency filtering system to remove PM2.5 particles from outdoor air.
Sport building facilities included a 25m competition pool with pool heating system, a 1600 sqm indoor air-conditioned convertible gym.
Heat Source of pool heating system is from heat rejection of air conditioning system.
Not only the work for MEP engineering consultant, EEC Lincolne Scott also offer the C&S engineering consultant service for all related area where a single basement carparking has been provided for the main buildings; primary, administration and kindergarten building.
Post-tensioned flat slab has been provided to optimize floor to floor height and decrease construction time where transferred post-tensioned flat slab has been selected due to the different building grid required between basement and upper floor slab.
Steel structure, mainly steel truss and girder have been provided for roof structure and link bridge respectively.
Deep piled foundations have been provided for reinforced concrete pavement including main hardscape work to maintain less differential settlement.
